Thread/Diameter Size Guide
The Non-Slip Hi-Hat Pull Rod is available in two thread sizes: M6 and M7. The thread size is determined by your hi-hat stand, so you need the one that matches. See the mobile thread gauge below to check your size.
Most entry-level to mid-range hi-hat stands use M6 threading. Most higher-end and professional stands use M7. If you're not sure which your stand requires, use one of the tools below to check before you order.
And if you get the wrong one, don't worry. I gladly accept exchanges.
I also have a growing list of confirmed thread sizes by brand and model below. If your stand isn't listed, use the tools further down on this page to check.

Option 1: Screen Gauge (Mobile)
Use the interactive gauge below. Pinch to zoom your screen until the credit card outline matches a real card, then hold your pull rod against the M6 and M7 slots to check the fit.

STEP 1: Verify Scale
To ensure accuracy of this gauge, turn your phone to landscape (sideways) so the credit card outline fits on screen. Keep it in landscape for the rest of the gauge. Place a credit card, debit card, or ID card on the outline below. It should fit exactly. If it doesn't match, pinch to zoom in or out until it does.
STEP 2: Identify Your Thread Size
Remove the pull rod from your hi-hat stand by unscrewing it from the base. Hold the threaded section of the rod (the ridged portion at the very bottom, not the smooth shaft) across each slot below. The correct size is the slot where the threaded portion fits snugly. It should fill the white space completely while the black outline remains visible on both sides. If the rod covers up the black outline, it is too large for that size.
STEP 3: Order the Right Size
If your rod fits snugly in the M6 slot, order the M6 version.
If your rod fits snugly in the M7 slot, order the M7 version.
Option 2: Printable Gauge (PDF)
Prefer a physical gauge? Download and print our thread size gauge. Place your existing pull rod across the M6 and M7 slots to see which one fits. Make sure to print at 100% scale. Do not select "Fit to Page" or "Shrink to Fit." The PDF includes a credit card outline and a 1-inch reference box so you can verify your print is actual size.
